Stickers from Dodo Pizza as a Collection

Stickers from Dodo Pizza

Some collections just happen because you like a product and they offer a prize or something a little extra with it. Kids love McDonald’s and the Happy Meal toy is the bonus. (To be fair, many adults also enjoy McDonald’s even though they know it’s not the healthiest food, and I loved when they had Disney tie-ins, like the Christmas 101 Dalmatians [affiliate link] in the late 1990s.)  Cereals often have their own collectibles. In Russia, Dodo Pizza, which can also be found in Mississippi and Tennessee of all places, offers a hospitality packet with each pizza ordered. Inside the packet are a couple of napkins, one or two toothpicks, and a sticker. It’s great for people who collect toothpicks… and stickers from Dodo Pizza.

The Unicorn Penguin with a Chip on Its Beak

unicorn penguins on my shelf

My wife and I have been trying to outfit our apartment on the cheap while still keeping it homey and having some of our favorite items around to provide happy energy. This has meant multiple trips to the dollar store for strange, new snacks, bathroom accessories, and penguins!

Pirate Plushie Penguins for 2017’s D23 Expo

pirate plushie penguin Ragetti

In honor of Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean attraction turning 50, the Disney Expo 2017 held a contest for Pirates-related art. I convinced Jenya that we should try to win the prize using penguins in the “Take a Wench for a Bride” scene. I knew Disney was going to change the scene, sooner rather than later, but they hadn’t made an announcement. Jenya looked at some other scenes, but thought these outfits made for the funniest penguins. Because of the timing of the contest, Jenya had to make the pirate plushie penguins before the results about moving forward were in. We weren’t chosen, but we had all the penguins.

Creating a New Experience at Penguinate.com

marching penguins creating a new experience

As we move forward and adapt to our new world, we’re creating a new experience at penguinate.com. We plan on opening a shop of sorts, but we’re going to change the focus from an in-house experience to a virtual one. We’ll still have penguins and indie author books and people will be able to come in and see them. However, our space is going to move toward being more of a workplace.

Creativity, Book, and Penguin Emporium Coming Soon

Lilac City Comicon 2019

We are about a month away from starting our search for a physical location for our Creativity, Book and Penguin Emporium. (C.A.P.E.S. was already taken in Oregon, so I had to scrap my first choice in names. I’m open to suggestions.) While I would like to think that finding a location is the first step on the list, it’s really just a part of the jumble that we have to do all at once. We need to gather and/or create inventory, like penguins, and get the fixtures ready, like shelves and flat screens. We are still accepting indie author applications, and we will need to reach out to the authors we like. However, since it’s easier, I’m going to write this in a linear fashion.

Moving, Stress, and Obligations Take the Wind out of My Sails

woman in white long sleeve shirt and white pants standing on brown wooden floor

Life has caught up with me too fast, and with a 318-day streak on the line, I’m not sure where my next article is going to come from. I could pull up all of the movie reviews I did in 2012 and recycle them for this website. That, however, is neither very appealing or satisfying for anyone. Still, writing something like this post for the foreseeable future also seems a little problematic.

Our Store Plans for C.A.P.E. before COVID-19

Professor Penguin studies for greater knowledge.

A long time ago before the world changed, about the second week of March 2020, my wife and I were going to move to the coast – probably in Oregon. We were going to open a shop. The details about how, where, and with what money we were going to do this were a little sketchy. I just assumed we would figure it out when we got there. All we needed to do was get our cat micro-chipped and wait for the arrival of Jenya’s passport and Green Card visa.

Penguin Emporium

Creativity at Our Core

Creativity is a meta skill. It takes both specific knowledge and general knowledge, and it isn’t anything you can get from a search engine. It comes from within you. The items and blog posts that you find here and at our store may seem random, and that’s part of the point. Find the intersection, connect new dots, and bring things together that you haven’t thought about doing before. Participating in our experiences, live or on video, will help you better harness your creativity. Creativity is at the core of everything that we do as human beings.

For Penguin Emporium, creativity is the reason we come to work in the morning, afternoon, evening, and whenever else we happen to be at the computer. Creativity is important for us as people, and no matter who you are, you’re creative. That’s why we’ve written the books “Disneyland Is Creativity,” “The Haunted Mansion Is Creativity,” and “Penguinate! Positive Creativity.” It’s also the topic of many of our blog posts and a part of our Patreon page, where Penguinators get special sneak previews of upcoming trainings. As you explore this website, and later visit our store, remember, we’re bringing these things together to help you be more creative in a positive way.

Happy handmade penguins bringing cuteness and joy to you!

Our stuffed penguins bring us so much joy and happiness, we want to share that joy and happiness with you. Each penguin Jenya makes is made with love by hand. The eyes are hand embroidered. The penguins are individual cut from fleece or faux fur fabrics. The feet and beaks are made from fleece. Penguins can be ordered with an outfit that is also handmade!

You are unique; that’s why you’re perfect. All of our penguin plushies are unique. Every penguin has its own personality. From feisty and determined to good-natured and comical. Some of our penguins have more than one mood, and it’s dependent on how you see them! Whatever your mood, we have a penguin that can help you commiserate and, ultimately, feel better. Our penguin community is growing on Instagram! Our Instagram is Penguin_Emporium. Checkers Penguin has his own Instagram at checkerspenguin. Pear Penguin is having fun at pear_penguin, and Dale Penguin can be found at Dale_thepenguin.

Our penguins make great gifts for anyone. People who love penguins will adore our unique penguins. Order a penguin today and find out how each individual can contribute to a happier mood and atmosphere. Love. Friendship. Travel. Penguins. Penguins may also be purchased at Etsy.

Here are 25 reasons you need a stuffed penguin, and here are 12 reasons stuffed penguins need you.

Independent Authors and Artists

Independent authors and artists are working hard to create something new. If you’re tired of the same old ideas being recycled, you need to step away from the big media conglomerates and look at what those who work independently have to offer. We are here to support indie authors and artist and help them sell more books and art, so that they can create more books and art. Take a look at our Books section for your new favorite author. Our artists are currently in the Penguin Emporium section.

Collectors’ Corner

Have you ever seen a video of Ray Bradbury’s office? He was a collector of things that inspired him to write short stories. Creativity comes at the intersection of subjects. The more knowledge and inspiration you have that connects, the more likely you are to come up with something creative.

We love collecting things for the ideas they inspire, the joy that they give, and the memories they help us recall. We hope Collectors’ Corner can do the same thing for you. We’re always on the lookout for that next great item, so keep coming back to see what we’ve found. Maybe you’ll find the inspiration you are looking for.
