These religious books are all ones I have read, and their condition varies. I am including an affiliate link to Amazon.com with each of the books if you prefer to order from there. The affiliate link allows you to compare prices and purchase the book without costing you anything additional. We get a small finder’s fee from Amazon. All books ordered from penguinate.com will be sent media mail.
Bible Study in a Year
These books are split into small sections that will allow you to read the Bible in a year. There are different versions, and all of mine are well-used. If you read a book every day, there’s bound to be some issues with the cover, binding and corners curling.
One Year through the Bible: I bought this in 2003; there is a small stain on the first 45 days’ worth of pages. I’m not sure what translation this Bible is, but it also includes a devotional to help put the day’s verses into a context. (Get it on Amazon.)
The One Year Bible: This Bible divides the New International Version into 365 daily readings. The Copyright is 1986, but I know I bought it after 2000. It has a small stain on the front pages, and the cover is pretty rough. (Get a newer version on Amazon.)
The Daily Bible: This is also the New International Version with devotional readings. Some of the corners are bent. It looks like I bought this one in 2008. It still has the price tag from Title Wave in Anchorage, Alaska. (Get a newer version on Amazon.)
Other Religious Books
Siege: The Story of Hezekiah and Sennacherib: Published in 1980, this book presents a fictionalized account of the life of Hezekiah. (Get it on Amazon.) Aside from the cracked binding, this paperback is in pretty good condition.
The Story of Jonah: From the Alice in Bibleland Series, this book tells the story of Jonah in rhyme. It was published in 1984. This copy came from the Library Store and still has its sticker; it was cheaper then than it is now. (Get it on Amazon.)
Every Child a Light by Pope John Paul II: Published in 2005, this is an inspiration book. The cover is puffy (by design). My copy is pretty good, but the pages inside are a little warped. It still has its sticker from The Library Store though it has gone up in price since I bought it. (Get it on Amazon.)
The Lost Ark of the Covenant: I’ll admit it, I got this book because I love Indiana Jones. It doesn’t have anything to do with Indy – except they both searched for the Ark of the Covenant. I don’t remember what the conclusion was for this book, so maybe I should read it again. I got it new at Title Wave in 2008.The back of the dust jacket has several visible scratches. Otherwise, it appears to be in good condition. Looking on Amazon, the price for a hardcover ranges from over $8 to more than $100! While I would love $100, you’ll get this at a bargain price!

I’m having to down-size, and while we’re looking for a physical place to open a store, I thought I would offer up some of my used books and videos. The revenue generated from the sale of these books will allow us to continue our search and get us closer to opening a place where books, penguins, creativity and collections coexist peacefully.
